City Hall. Another revered historical building in Singapore, opened its doors to host the Singapore Biennale 2008. Comparing this site and the one at South Beach, I still prefer the mysterious and crumbling buildings at South Beach. But City Hall does has it charms as well. At City Hall, a sense of reverence sweeps into you once you step inside its hallowed halls. And viewing the art works with this sense, one gets a different interpretation and perspective on the works. Come wonder with me…
- Looking for your house/school/office…
- Why so serious?
- Blackfield – one side is black, the other is in colour
- multi-coloured world
- morose and grim
- this artwork is quite amazing – the cars and the people move as you move
- now you see her
- now you dont!
- Heaven and Earth
- Floating around in a philosophical world
- maggots!worms! what are you looking at?
- a hot fire is burning
- once they were corridors of power
